THE CHALLENGE
Underestimated budget allocation and resource constraints.
Stakeholders revising the solution mid-deployment, requiring adjustments.
Navigating multiple processes and procedures due to the involvement of multiple vendors.
A critical shift in the outsourced services provider during the program.
Adapting to new NBN requirements and the associated learning curve.
THE SOLUTION
The solution for Dulux Group’s IT Telco Migration involved consolidating their network, mobile, voice, and data services into a single, managed MPLS solution provided by Telstra. The program was structured around three core streams (Mobile, Voice, and Data), and included the following key actions:
Core Network and Security: Migrating the gateway and firewall to align with the new Telstra-managed MPLS.
Mobile Voice and Data: Transitioning over 600 users from the previous providers.
Voice Migration: Shifting ISDN, PSTN, and NBN voice services from Optus to Telstra.
WAN Migration: Migrating 89 domestic and international sites from GCX and Telstra networks to the single MPLS.
VPN Migration: Handling over 800 VPN users, including employees, suppliers, and business partners.
DMZ Migration: Transitioning services to ensure secure and seamless access to Dulux Group’s external services.
